The Okavango traditional attire
The Okavango people are base in Rundu (kavango east) Some are based in Kavango west but for now we are focusing on Rundu. The image shows a traditional group from Rundu on cultural festival. The traditional attire represent unity and stability,we celebrate our culture in different ways wereby we express the love and joy of our unique culture. The kavango traditional clothes back in the days was entirely made from reeds ( Nombu in rukwangali) and animal skin its a unique attire which made women feel beautiful when having it on 😍. Men back in the days would only put on animal skin to cover their genitals but this days they've also moved to wearing reeds ( Nombu).
